Quality time

More quality music time this week! How did I get so lucky - its just one week after the next!
Last weeks concerts were great, plus I had the sad but great honor of playing at the memorial of my dear "cousin" Steve Scholl, who died this year of early alzheimers. A great person who lived life to the fullest, but gently. Sail on, Steve!

Meanwhile its thick and fast:
WED Nov 19th 6:30-9:30pm St Julien Hotel (9th&Walnut, Bldr)
BECO DO CHORO

Missed the concert last Fri? Now is your chance: Fran, Joao, Kailin & Dexter will be bringing their warm Brazilian sound to the hotel lobby.
(Note: St Julien advertizes Dexter Payne Quartet, and this week, the quartet is... BECO!)

Then... same day! 9:30-12 1st ST Pub (Nederland)
SALEM

Cutting edge jazz/latin/funk/hop for hipsters with a global consciousness.

And for something completely different-
SAT Nov 22 8-10pm Euphoria Lounge (21st& Larimer, Den)
GEORGE INAI CD Release

with Eric Moon, Derek Banach, Ryan, George & Dexter. Who is Gearge Inai? Hear him at: www.georgeinai.com & at www.myspace.com/georgeinai
A very unique and sensitive songwriter who evokes an original musical landscape!

And now for a quick interview -
Blogger: "Are all those bands you list on your Gig Alert ones that YOU play with? They are all so different!"
"Yep!" Dexter says, with a sly grin, " Isnt it grand?!"

Meanwhile, speaking of variety, check the DEXOFON website in a few days - Ill have my new CDs up soon and sampled for your listening pleasure!

Enjoy,
Dexter
